
Shreveport Bar Foundation Marketing Coordinator Opening
The Shreveport Bar Foundation “SBF” is searching for a qualified marketing coordinator. This individual will develop and implement a marketing plan for a new initiative with the ability to create and maintain a new outreach program for the underserved population of Caddo and Bossier parishes that furthers the mission of the SBF. The candidate should have skills in various marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. This marketing coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Objectives of this Role
- Development and implementation of a new outreach program
- Design and ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, and content
- Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Executive Director in evaluating and establishing a marketing plan and strategy, planning and organizing presentations, and updating calendars
- Plan and manage events by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments
- Recruit attorney volunteers to attend and provide legal education at the clinics
- Attend the clinics
- Maintain a directory and inventory of support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; marketing, advertising, or communications preferred
- Past work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role will be beneficial
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing is considered essential
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills required
- Candidates should be self-motivated and confident in their ability to work on projects with limited supervision
- Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint, is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the legal profession
This person will work under the direction of the Shreveport Bar Foundation Board of Directors and Executive Director. The candidate is responsible for using best practices within the SBF’s adopted budget, guidelines, and mission statement.
